Description
The Kern energy monitor spiked twice this morning. This is the 4th leak spike in 2 days from the facility. Any updates for on the cause of the spikes in H2S

[Oct 6, 2024] The complaint was reported to the Valley Air District S- 2410-019
[Oct 6, 2024] Inspector for Air District was on Scene around 11:50am, arrived from Porterville
Complaint was Forwarded to the Kern CUPA with following description:
The IVAN reporting platform got several complaints about smells during the morning hours for homes near the refinery. 3 separate complaints state smells being stronger over the weekend morning. The Kern Energy refinery has also had 4 H2S spikes on their fence line monitors. Both events happened in-between the hours of 8am - 10am.
Reports for each incident were made to the valley air district with the following complaint numbers:
