Description

A report from the City of McFarland stated that the average level for the contaminate 1,2,3-TCP in the City's drinking water over 3 months (January, February, and March of 2023) was 0.037 ug/L. This is 52 times higher than the Public Health Goal of 0.0007 ug/L and 7 times higher than the drinking water standard of 0.005 ug/L. Testing results from October, November, and December of 2019 showed that the average level was 0.013 ug/L. In 2019, the City stated that they anticipated resolving the problem by July 31, 2021 (see attached). In the more recent 2023 report, the city stated that they anticipate solving the problem by July 31, 2023. The city of McFarland has not called or emailed me back and I am wondering where they are on resolving the issue and what's being done to clean the water. Thank you!
